The choice between a rope halter and a regular stable halter depends on the individual horse and their specific needs. Rope halters are often preferred for training purposes as they provide more direct communication and control. However, regular stable halters are more commonly used for everyday handling and turnout as they are generally more comfortable for the horse. It is important to consider the horse's behavior, training level, and comfort when deciding between a rope halter and a regular stable halter. **

To determine the correct halter size, it is important to measure the horse's head. Start by measuring the circumference of the horse's nose at the widest point, then measure from the corner of the mouth, up over the poll, and back down to the other side of the mouth. Use these measurements to compare with the sizing chart provided by the halter manufacturer to find the best fit. It is crucial to ensure a proper fit to prevent discomfort or injury to the horse. **

It is not recommended to use a fur halter in the summer as it can cause the horse to overheat and become uncomfortable. Additionally, a regular halter is easier to clean and maintain in hot and dusty conditions. **
